Commercializing breakthrough technologies across Enterprise AI, Cloud Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Enterprise Software — drawing on 30+ years as an engineer, operator, and Technology Commercialization Executive across the Americas, MENA, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.
Technology Commercialization Executive · Engineer · Operator · Advisor
Open to advisory and consulting engagements, as well as full-time executive leadership roles (CGO / VP Business Development / GM).
"Engineering creates innovation. Markets create businesses. Bridging those two worlds has been the defining theme of my career."
For more than 30 years, I have helped organizations commercialize breakthrough technologies before markets were ready for them — as a Technology Commercialization Executive, strategic advisor, and Fractional CGO. My career has progressed from electrical engineering through technical product management to executive sales, business development, and commercialization leadership — giving me a rare ability to bridge engineering innovation with customer needs and commercial execution. I have defined products before development began, validated market demand before significant engineering investment, and led the commercialization of first-of-their-kind technologies across Enterprise AI, AI Infrastructure, Cloud Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Software, and Telecommunications.
My career began in India, where I lived and worked for nearly a decade before relocating to the US — giving me ground-level fluency in that market, in addition to customer relationships built across the Americas, MENA, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. I speak English, Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, and Urdu — a practical asset in the markets I serve.
What I bring to advisory clients and executive roles is not a framework borrowed from a textbook. It is hard-earned pattern recognition about what works when you are trying to commercialize complex technology — how to define products before markets exist, which partnerships accelerate adoption, where go-to-market strategies fail, and what it takes to transform breakthrough engineering into scalable commercial businesses.
"The gap between a great technology and a growing business is almost always a commercialization problem — not a technology problem."
Today I partner with founders, executive leadership teams, venture-backed technology companies, and boards to commercialize innovative technologies, shape product and commercialization strategy, establish strategic partnerships, and build category-defining businesses — as a full-time executive, strategic advisor, or Fractional CGO.

Turning a technology into a scalable, revenue-generating business is the hardest translation in enterprise tech. I help companies bridge that gap — from product-market fit through first enterprise contracts.
The right partner can compress years of organic growth into months. I help technology companies identify, negotiate, and activate partnerships that create durable enterprise value — not just press releases.
Whether entering the US federal market, expanding into MENA, or penetrating South Asian enterprise segments, I provide ground-truth intelligence and execution guidance — not theoretical market reports.
For growth-stage companies that need senior GTM leadership without a full-time executive commitment. I embed as your Fractional CGO to build pipeline, align sales and marketing, and drive revenue growth.
Early-stage founders get direct access to 30 years of pattern recognition. I work with AI and technology startups to sharpen their commercial model, validate their ICP, and build repeatable sales motion.
I help founders and leadership teams prepare for what comes next — whether that's a board seat, a Series A, a strategic acquisition, or a new investor relationship. I bring the operator lens boards need to see.
Commercialization is measured in outcomes, not activity. Here is a sample of where I have moved the needle.
Advised the founders, CEO, and CTO on commercialization strategy, product-market fit, investor positioning, fundraising, and enterprise market development for an Indian-language AI technology company.
Led North America sales and business development for a global OSS/BSS and network analytics firm. Scaled regional revenue while protecting and growing recurring software renewals across Tier 1 communications service providers.
Advised the Founder & CEO on commercialization strategy, product positioning, pricing, customer discovery, strategic partnerships, and enterprise go-to-market for a breakthrough secure networking platform that eliminated traditional VPN architectures through packet-level security.
Joined among the company's first 10 hires in this early-stage venture. Drove a $2M increase in total revenue through strategic negotiation of an all-stock software company acquisition. Created and presented investor pitch decks engaging VC and PE firms for a smart city market entry.
Led strategic business development partnerships with major hardware manufacturers including Sony, Toshiba, and LG. Built OEM and software integration collaboration frameworks across mobile ecosystem partners.
Commercialized one of the industry's earliest autonomous network optimization platforms. Led customer onboarding and trial programs that established market adoption across North America, the Middle East, and Asia.
Developed an enterprise resource management platform adopted globally, transforming engineering resource planning, utilization tracking, and executive reporting for major telecom organizations.
Developed engineering process automation for utility-scale power transformers, fundamentally transforming the customer quotation and proposal workflow.
I work best with companies that have a compelling technology but need experienced help converting it into customers, revenue, and enterprise value — whether that's through an advisory engagement or a full-time executive role.
Seed to Series B companies — especially AI, SaaS, and enterprise software startups — that need a senior commercialization operator, not just a consultant. I help you build the business around your technology.
Technology firms from MENA, South Asia, and Southeast Asia targeting US enterprise or federal customers. I bring both the cultural fluency and the US market network to bridge the gap.
Companies with product-market fit that are scaling revenue and need a Fractional CGO or strategic advisor to architect their GTM motion, build partnerships, and accelerate pipeline.
Established companies launching new products, entering adjacent markets, or building new channel partnerships. I serve as a senior external growth leader who operates with an insider's accountability.
This is not surface-level familiarity. These are markets where I have sold, negotiated, and built enterprise relationships at the executive level — often over years and across multiple companies.
I don't just advise startups from the outside — I've joined them early, when the risk and the upside were both highest. That early-stage instinct for what a young company actually needs shapes how I work with every client, at any stage.

Nilesh provided sales and solution support for the MYCOM-OSI products. Was able to connect with our executive level and push for solutions that made sense for our business. He was not afraid to sell up stream and was key in getting MYCOM-OSI to enhance and grow their product line. Nilesh is a champion of the customer within the sales organization and was always fair.
Nilesh is a very energetic and technical sales executive having the ability to navigate through CSP organizations from CxO to Engineer level. Nilesh managed to show the value of the partnership model to the customer and is ready to spend the right level of energy as a customer advocate to get what is required from the vendor organization.
Nilesh is an experienced sales director in the telco space and we've worked together on a range of Tier-1 CSPs in North America. He's been quick at establishing senior touch-points in complex customer organisations and helped broaden the overall engagements. Nilesh adapted fast to the telco-cloud transformation and its impacts on the wider OSS space.
His networking skills are incredible and he has been able to reach C-Level executives in some of our customers that no other sales person before him has ever been able to. Through his abilities, Nilesh has been successful in convincing those execs that we are the right choice going forward. Any company that wants a sales person with a go-get-them attitude would be lucky to have him.
Nilesh's role was key as he was able to engage us with the right people and turn around complex political situations which could make our mission really hard to achieve. Nilesh is passionate, wants to be involved in the whole sales process, and is technically savvy — which is rare to find in a Sales Executive role.
I witnessed his determined effort and strong commitment to locate and reach out to possible customers when Reverb was enlarging its footprint in Middle Eastern countries. He has extensive deep technical knowledge on RF engineering practices, combined with strong sales skills — giving him strong potential to make an immediate impact on any organization.
Nilesh combines his long wireless telecommunications industry experience with his technical, engineering background and his network with mobile network operators. He quickly penetrated all key operators in one region for us and set the platform for success, which was quite impressive given the short period of time.
Nilesh has a very well-developed network of professionals on both the business and technical sides of the telecom industry, including large and small operators and vendors. He showed excellent understanding of the product and features. Nilesh will pursue every business opportunity with full momentum.
Nilesh has the technical and business development background needed to be highly successful. In the five years I worked with him, he demonstrated expertise in sales expansion, marketing initiatives, account management, relationship development, and key account oversight, as well as strong analytical and managerial capabilities.
A career defined not by job titles but by the businesses I have built and the growth I have driven for technology companies worldwide.

Practical thinking on the moments that define whether a technology company thrives or stalls.
Most market entry failures are not product failures. They are strategy failures that repeat themselves so reliably they have become almost predictable — across the Americas, MENA, South Asia, and beyond.
